Gosh, what to say, what to say? When you are so far behind that you can’t remember month to month anymore. I’m trying, really I am. Even making notes trying to recall what the baby did each month isn’t as grand a plan as I thought it would be.
So, lets start with the big one, he’s CRAWLING! Not just learning to crawl, full on crawling and climbing over everything he can get to. This happened the day he turned 7 months and then two weeks later he was showing off by pulling himself up on everything! The kid cannot go 5 minutes without falling and crying, but he doesn’t give up. Well, when he really hits his head he does. Just lays there screaming and I don’t blame him. The kid gets bumps and bruises every single day. Not usually just one, either. It freaks me out, but I have to remind myself that he’s a boy and that’s more than likely, just his nature. Get used to it, Momma!
As if that was enough of a heart attach for me, he then attempted trying to stand the same week he was pulling himself up. I’m not sure if he meant to or not, but he took his hand off the ottoman and immediately fell. This seemed to tick him off, so he cried…a loud shrieking sound. After about a week or so of that he’s no longer shrieking and he stays standing, for a beat, before he falls on his bum. There have been a few sideways or forward falls, see the above mentioned bumps and bruises. The bruises stink, but the rest of it is pretty cool.
He’s a mover and a shaker, folks!
This month he’s also proven to needing supplimenting *milkshakes*. I was a bit bummed and amazed, but I’m ok with it now. The kid takes down 4-7oz after he nurses, so obviously he needs it. I’ve also taken down the amount of solids he gets since I noticed he hadn’t any weight in almost a month.
Here are his stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 11.25 oz (weighed at Mother’s Circle a week after he turned)
Length: 31 inches (measured at home a few weeks ago)
Ok, now for pictures!
Now for the L.L. flashback: I’m 7 Months Old
What a cutie pie! He’s getting big!
