So I don’t mean to brag, but I’m finally posting on the actual day she turns 11 months! All ready to go with a blog post and super cute pictures – YAY! I had to make it eventually, might as well be the last month before she has her first birthday.
Our almost one year old is walking and chatting all the time. She has a bit of trouble with the walking part, if we aren’t home, but seems to be getting better and better each day. This past weekend she even walked on the grass in the park! It’s a big deal because at the beginning of the month she wasn’t sure she liked grass and stayed far far away from it. On top of that she would cry if I set her down to walk. Then she realized it wasn’t so bad and would only stand, but mainly crawl.
L.L. is also eating a lot more of everything, well, almost everything. We still can’t get her to like regular ole fruit and she’s getting more particular with her veggies. She used to like carrots, broccoli, zucchini, green beans, sweet potatoes and cauliflower. Now she goes back and forth between broccoli and zucchini. If we could get enough organic zucchini she would eat it with every single meal and still love it. We keep trying to go back to purees so that we can get more variety for her, but she mostly likes table food. She starts off feeding herself and then she will let you do it once she’s started playing with it. She will eat about any meat, but not much of it, also pasta, quinoa, rice…all the things that we are eating is ok in her book to test out. Must not forget yogurt, she still loves that. Used to just be vanilla, but now we can get banana in there, too.
Now onto more milestones! The week she turned 1o months is when she started fully walking. She claps with hands open and can now make a little smack when she puts her hands together. She loves it. Two weeks ago she started waving, it’s so cuuuuute! Of course, her first wave was at a boy while we were attending a friend’s baby shower. Her brother was very interesting for L.L. and she hasn’t stopped waving at boys since! (Poor Daddy)
She’s also adding in more sounds. It really sounds like her own little language at this point. Her newest sound is ‘g’. Lots of gla gla gla’s going on with many more dadadada. She has gone back to mamama at times, but still her favorite is dada. So I guess she’s throwing him a bone since she already seems to like boys. (If you are rolling on the floor laughing now, good! ‘Cause I am too.)
When I attempted to measure sweet L.L. she was a bit squirmy. We ended up with 28 inches length, 45 cm head circumference and I have no idea on the weight. We will have to wait for that one next month at her one year pediatrician visit. My last bit of info is that we finally made it to #2 diapers! Woohoo, movin’ on UP!
Last, but not least, we have a top tooth starting to pop out! We have been going through the craziness of cutting teeth ALL MONTH. I will be happy when they fully come in. Our baby girl is growing up!
Now onto the pictures. These were fun because of her outfit. She woke up with crazy hair, so we had to try to tame it with the bow. I wanted to keep her on the bed and get some posed shots, but she had other ideas. Since I am on my own taking them I have to deal with what I can get and not worry about the rest. Here they are!
Great pictures!! 😀
Thanks Fran! I have been wanting to use that tutu since she was born.
That one with the rawr face is to much to handle. I. Die.
So dang cute! Love her!!
Great pictures and your comments are pretty cute too. xoxo
Thanks! I keep on trying. 😉
