I never knew how fast ten months can go by until I had a child.
During that time we have been through so much. An infant who is only soothed by the bathroom and kitchen exhaust fan. Allergies at 6 months. Ear infections turned into double ear infections turned into yeast infections. Cranky teething baby. Working through sleep training after each hurdle. Hundreds of laughs and baby giggles. Learning to crawl. Learning to stand. Baby proofing after we thought we had already baby proofed. Trying nap time at every corner of the day. Learning a bedtime routine at the same time really is the way to get a good nights sleep and not fight the baby to sleep for over an hour. Hundreds of the cutest smiles and pictures to treasure. Seeing baby girl lean in for a kiss (or slobber, but I’ll take it). Plus, so much more…
As I write this L.L. is napping for the first time in a couple of days. We are currently battling her top teeth coming in and they hurt her SO much. I feel so bad for her (and for us). It’s extra tough when you, the caregiver, it also under the weather. However, that’s parenthood and L.L. is still the cutest kid on the block, of course. We love her to pieces.
The big news I have is that she’s been taking steps on her own! That’s right folks, we almost have a walker! She is also feeding herself finger food and babbling with the best of them. Her babble has changed into more sophisticated sounds, but we are pretty sure even though she says momomomomomom and dadadadadadadada ALL the time, she doesn’t know it’s us. What she does know is her name. She will turn and look at you instantly when you say it. It’s quite adorable to listen to her have a solo conversation of baby babble.
I don’t have any official stats, but I did measure her yesterday:
Length: 27 inches
Head Circumference: 44 cm
Now onto the fun stuff. You know what’s next.
I love her. I love her. I loooove her. That face! And I love how everything is worth a taste! My kind of gal!
Just wait until yours gets there, she will be just like her Momma! 😉
And she loves you, too. Smooches!
so cute! congrats on the walker and babbler- so exciting! diego is super cute too.
It’s the little and big things (all the things) these days. 🙂 And thanks, I’m glad Domingo was around to be in the pictures. Recently, we have noticed that he knows when a diaper needs to be changed before us. All we have to do is pay attention to him sniffing her butt! ha.
