The Boy’s Half Birthday

Late, late, late! Two days before the boy turns 7 months – eek! The one saving grace I have is, that I took pictures two days after he turned 6 months…so there’s that.

Let’s jump right into it. The kid is the cutest, dark brown eyes with dark lashes that go on for days. He looks a lot like me, but plenty like Daddy, too. He drives me bananas and melts my heart all in the same moment. Not to mention the baby giggles – the baby giggles – they are outstanding. He’s wasn’t quite crawling for the six month mark. However, he can still get around doing the worm. He sits up so quick and can get under a couch or chair in seconds. What he isn’t i, daring. Nor is he a “bounce right back” kinda baby. So, we have plenty of tears everyday.

The most amazing part of this kid, for his half birthday, is the amount that he eats. He can wolf down 4 ice cubes of food in about 5 minutes. If you don’t have that spoon moving towards his mouth he is shrieking like a dyeing cat. It can be ear piercing, too. He nurses all day (yep folks, we are still breastfeeding – yay!), gets two meals of solids and a bottle right before bed. Still wakes up once to nursing during the night. He should be giant, but he’s not. Still a regular babe, and we adore him.

I can’t stop kissing his cute baby cheeks. I do it so often that L.L. has started kissing us and her stuffed animals the same way I do him: lots of consecutive kisses on the cheek without moving your lips from the cheek. Makes me smile thinking about it, can you tell I’m smiling right now?

Here are the stats:
Weight: 16.75 oz. (21%)
Length: 26.5  (41%)
Head Circumference: for some reason only the ranking is on the form (68%)

This is almost 'the lounge' he does it all of the time, only without his right leg kicked out.
