Grandparents + Baby’s First Holiday

As you know, our first full day after being discharged from the Special Care Unit was the 4th of July! It was baby boy’s first holiday. We were also, finally, able to visit with the grandparents. They were staying at a local hotel with a really fun pool and great restaurant, which we took full advantage of.

L.L. loved swimming with Papa and Daddy. She even started asking for Papa, all the time. If you know toddlers you realize it usually takes a long time for them to warm up to people they don’t know. This was a big step for her with the grandparents since we see them, roughly, once a year. It was a lot of fun to watch her with both of them.

It was also great to see Papa with his first grand son. I am sad to report I didn’t get a three generations photo, but I did get some of Papa with the baby!

That was our July 4th holiday. Not much, but we had fun and certainly stayed very busy! Hope you had a fun holiday, too.
